ZG Oppenheimer Krotenbrunnen Q.B.A.

Oppenheim is a small wine producing town on the Rhinefront. It is home to the German Viticultural Museum and to a research and training institute. This institute owns about 50 acres of vineyards that are maintained to an exemplary standard and its' focus is on retaining the individual grape variety character in the wines. The wines produced here have won a number of awards. Krotenbrunnen is a large area covering almost 4500 acres. The wines made from this appellation (Groslage in German) are usually inexpensive, easy to drink and pleasant. Rhine wines, as a general rule, have a little more body than the wines of the Mosel.

Theis wine is no exception. Well chilled, it is a pleasant, refreshing white wine. It would be ideal as an aperitif or with a light snack on a warm afternoon. The price, being extremely reasonable, makes it one of the best quality to price ratio wines in our inventory. At this low cost, the idea of several bottles isn't out of the question.
